What to expect:
If you’ve ever gone to a social event where you didn’t know anyone, you know how uncomfortable that can make you feel. Our goal is to eliminate every shred of apprehension and make you feel at home.
Since chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it’s important that our relationship can go the distance. We’ve found that one of the best ways to have successful patient relationships is to explain everything in advance. No surprises!
The more you understand who we are, what we do and why we do it, the better results you’ll enjoy. It’s as simple as that.
First Visit
Wissota Chiropractic provides a welcoming and warm family environment suitable for all ages. After completing the necessary paperwork, you will have a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Elliot to discuss any health concerns you may have, as well as potential treatment options.
At that point, Dr. Elliot will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes, your ability to turn and bend as well as other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical examinations. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to get a full evaluation of a patient. X-rays help us rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you. Most people are amazed once they their x-rays and can often immediately identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.
Your appointment with the doctor will be approximately 30-45 minutes.
We ask that you bring in paperwork filled out that you can download from this site. You can always just wait and fill it out here, but keep in mind this will add time to your appointment. We also ask that you bring your insurance card so we can call your insurance to see how they will support you in your care. We ask all new patients to pay $50/individual or $75/family towards your first visit fees. This will go towards any deductible or co-pays that you may have. If after we check with your insurance you have neither, this money will come right back to you. (This will not apply if you are coming in on a special new patient promotion.)
Your Second Visit
On your second visit to our office, you will have your report of findings. Dr. Elliot and staff will answer three major questions:
What is happening with my body and spine?
What do we need to do to correct it and what are my options for care?
How much will it cost and how will my insurance support me?
This is also a time when Dr. Elliot will also answer any other questions you may have. After the Report of Findings, you will receive your first chiropractic adjustment!
Regular Visits
After the investment of time needed on the first and second visits, many patients become concerned that every visit will be of equal length.
Wow, during those first two visits we do a lot! Don't worry though, we have worked hard to gather all the information we need to start your care! On your typical visits to Wissota Chiropractic, the adjustment itself only takes a few minutes so you don't have to take too much time out of your day. Most people spend about 5-15 minutes in our office each visit.
At Wissota Chiropractic our goal is to remove any undue stress and make you feel comfortable. In this area of the website you will be able to handle items necessary for your visit prior to arriving, in the comfort of your home.
Insurance and fee expectations:
We believe in the highest quality of care for you and your family at a reasonable fee. That is why we have maintained a pricing structure that allows care for all budgets. Our office does participate in some insurance programs, however all insurance coverage will be verified for estimated benefits. We also accept auto accident and workers compensation cases. For patients who have little or no chiropractic insurance coverage, flexible payment programs can be arranged.
